Purim Mishloach Manot

In lieu of Mishloach Manot, fund Shabbat meals for homeless people in Israel.

This year, in lieu of preparing Mishloach Manot for your friends and family, you can do a really meaningful Mitzvah and donate to Myisrael instead.  We will send an e-card for you to share with your friends and family anywhere in the world, letting them know what you did this Purim instead of giving them a wrapped up gift.

Friday nights are a unique time in Jerusalem. The streets are empty and everyone is gathered around the table with their loved ones. However, at the same time, loneliness and exclusion are intensified for those less fortunate, for those who do not have a table to sit around. For this reason, one of Myisrael's causes, Home Base created an initiative that brings together homeless individuals and community members from all of the different cultures and religions that make up Jerusalem’s diverse social landscape, through weekly Friday night meals.

At each meal warm and nutritious food is served and clothing and sleeping bags are provided for the 50 homeless people who attend.

This Purim, your donation will ensure that these homeless people feel seen and are comforted with good food and a feeling of acceptance and love.

After we have received your minimum donation of NIS 180, we will email you in order to personalise your e-card. Please let us know if you do not receive an email by contacting us at
